Kinesiology is the study of human movement, strength training is literally human movement. Kinesiologists often pay close attention to the mechanics of movement, forces, torque, efficiency etc. One of Curastream’s core values is injury prevention. Injury prevention starts with self motivation and a will to help yourself before something happens. As humans nature dictates, we are reactive not proactive. But the few that do engage in proactivity often live longer and more healthy lives. Strength training is one of those facets. Along with nutrition, mental well being, and other health environments, physical activity with goals and purpose is an important piece to full well being. Kinesiologists are educators. At heart we want people to know and understand how they are getting better, not just experts that will help fix you. “We nag because we care”.
Our team of Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, Strength Coaches and Exercise Physiologists, are all mind set on strength training being an important key to physical health. Our team will gather important information on goals, past injuries, occupation, personal exercise likes/dislikes, and other pertinent information to make sure you are using the right program to get you the results you’re after!
Our programs are always balanced, and are geared towards movement efficiency, stability, flexibility, and strength.
